The August payment to Republic Wireless for my wife’s phone was $19.45. That includes unlimited calling and texting, 512 MB of data, and a $0.37 credit for the data she didn’t use the month before. This is the highest bill we’ve had so far without buying more data, but still managed to get a credit back.

The new phones and plans are now available on republicwireless.com. In addition, they’ve opened up the Bring Your Own Phone program. If you’ve got one of the phones on their BYOP page, you can test Republic Wireless without buying a new phone.
